This is a REAL Ranger experience
As a Wildlife Ranger, you get to go behind the scenes to help your ranger take care of the animals that live in our wildlife sanctuary and the bush that is their natural home. Anyone can visit and hang out with the animals, but if you want to do something really special, and you want to do real wildlife work, and you like getting dirty, sign up for a Wildlife Ranger Camp for Junior Rangers or Kid Rangers.

What you can expect on Ranger Camp
- You will step into the animals’ world, the bush alive with wildlife, for a day in the life of a Wildlife Ranger.
- You will have so much fun going behind the scenes, helping your ranger and meeting the animals.
- You will get hands-on animal time.
- You will learn how to feed the animals, clean their homes and be safe around them.
- You will create enrichment challenges for the animals so they have as much fun as you do.
- You will get dirty, you may get wet, and you’ll be pretty tired by the time Ranger Camp ends.
What you should wear and bring
- Closed well-fitting shoes or runners with non-slip soles.
- Long pants to protect your legs in the bush.
- A hat or cap as you will be in the sun.
- Sunscreen, and insect repellent so the bugs don’t bite.
- A water bottle – rangers always have their water bottles with them.
- Lunch - best to bring it in your backpack in case you have lunch out in the field.
- A rain jacket in case it rains – a ranger’s work goes ahead no matter what the weather because the animals always need us.
