Jungle Carpet Python
Jungle Carpet Pythons are known to be the most striking of all pythons because of the high-contrasting black and yellow coloured patterns, however light areas can vary from cream to gold, and the dark areas from brown to black.
Jungle Carpet Pythons average a length of 1.8m, with a slender neck and thin head, giving them a graceful appearance.
They are found in lush tropical and subtropical rainforests near waterways and creeks of North Queensland.
This arboreal species is strictly carnivorous with their diet including mainly birds, but sometimes frogs and lizards.
