Do not feed the animals
Our animals free-range. They are gentle with people. Let’s not let them learn to grab food from people.
The reason our kangaroos and wallabies and emus are so gentle with people (even little kids who smell like food) is because our animals have never learned to take food from people. Please help us to keep our animals gentle so they can live long and happy lives here in our wildlife sanctuary.
Only eat inside fenced areas
where the animals cannot reach your table!
You can eat on the veranda or in the fenced picnic area next to the Visitor Centre.
Please do not eat at tables that are not inside a fence.
Bring a picnic
We recommend that you bring a picnic because our kiosk may not have what you like, and we do run out of food early on some days.
Pack your picnic in animal-proof snap-lock plastic containers or in an esky.
Do not use non-sealable shopping bags that animals can get their claws or noses into.
Only eat inside a fenced area.
Please do not eat at tables that are not inside a fence.

Coffee, snacks and refreshments
We offer excellent fresh-ground barista-style coffees, as well as a variety of teas.
You can buy cold drinks, ice-creams and snacks in our gift shop.
Pies
Most days (subject to availability) we offer beef pies, chicken pies, sausage rolls, spinach and cheese pastries, and vegetable pies.
We usually have these “ready to go”. If you don’t see what you want, we can prepare more pies on request but this may take around 45 minutes.
To ensure we still have what you want when you want it, we recommend that you order and pay at reception when you arrive, and that the food be ready for you at a certain time.
Sandwiches
Subject to availability, we offer a range of pre-made sandwiches – please check the display.
Some days, these sell out quite quickly. We’re sorry if we don’t have any left when you want them.
